The Garmin Forerunner 405 GPS-Enabled sports watch has not received the same favorable reviews that the 205 did. One user originally gave the 405 a 4-star rating but, after two months of use, dropped it to 3 stars saying, “The decrease in rating is due to incredibly poor software and support from Garmin.” Another reviewer, however, stuck with a 4-star rating after using the Forerunner on 15 short runs and 5 long runs. The 405 has some improvements over the earlier 205 and 305 but, according to most, it also lost a lot.

Garmin Forerunner 405 GPS Sports Watch – What’s it Like?
Garmin Forerunner 405 is designed for the runner and is worn like a watch, and designed to allow joggers to track speed, distance, heart rate, and location statistics. It was an instant hit on release and as soon as it was in stock it was flying off the shelves.
The Garmin Forerunner 405 is available with or without a heart rate monitor to help you make the most out of your training, and of course, you are able to know just how fit you really are. Afterall, this is a fitness watch that comes with GPS, heart rate monitor, and software for analyzing all the collected information. It could be said immediately that this is simply excellent.
Offering the perfect blend of anti-glare and optical clarity known as ClearTouch Anti-Glare for this little gem, this is real world screen protection at its finest. It is without doubt that this device is the top model in Garmin’s sports and fitness GPS line for runners.
It also has to be said that this is the ultimate in training technology, its sleek design features a touch bezel that lets you quickly scroll and select features on the run without the need to press any buttons. It is also a watch that secretly stores some insanely advanced computing. You really cannot go far wrong with this little friend.
In addition to this, the watch tracks your training, then wirelessly sends your data to your computer! Plus, each run that you do is stored in the memory so you can continuously review how you have done and see exactly what progress you are making.
Though it is a high performance watch, it is extremely easy to use and very comfortable to wear even when you’re not actually training. Just Superb.
